Chris Jones focuses on acquisitions, financing, and administrative issues for portfolio companies and is the primary interface with limited partners of Haddington-managed funds. Prior to the formation of Haddington, Mr. Jones served as Tejas Power Corporation’s (TPC) Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 1985 until his appointment as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer in 1995. He also served as a Director of Market Hub Partners, L.P., TPC’s natural gas storage joint venture with Dayton Power & Light, New Jersey Resources, NIPSCO and Public Service Electric and Gas. During his tenure as Chief Financial Officer of TPC, TPC’s equity capital grew from $1 million to over $175 million, and both TPC and its Market Hub Partners affiliate issued over $300 million in bank and fixed income securities. Prior to his association with TPC, Mr. Jones served as Secretary/Treasurer, and later Chief Financial Officer of The Fisk Group, Inc., a U.S. and international electrical contracting subsidiary of Amec p.l.c., a publicly traded U.K. company. He was employed with The Fisk Group from 1979 to 1985. Mr. Jones began his professional career with the auditing firm Price Waterhouse in Houston, Texas in 1977. He received his BBA degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin in 1977.

Mr. Jones oversees legal and administrative issues for Haddington and assists portfolio companies with those issues as necessary. In addition, he is involved in portfolio company oversight, with particular focus on those companies’ larger commercial transactions and financings and investment monetization transactions.
Prior to joining Haddington in 2000, Mr. Jones served as Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of TPC Corporation. As General Counsel, he oversaw the legal affairs of TPC and its subsidiaries, including Market Hub Partners, in all aspects of their businesses. Mr. Jones remained with TPC subsequent to its purchase by PacifiCorp, having responsibility for legal and financial matters arising in PacifiCorp’s domestic mergers and acquisitions efforts and reporting directly to PacifiCorp’s Vice President for domestic mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to his association with TPC, Mr. Jones engaged in the private practice of law in Houston, Texas from 1980 to 1992 with the law firm of Dickerson, Carmouche & Jones. His practice focused, at various times, on federal and state tax planning for business entities and transactions, federal and state securities matters, mergers and acquisitions, financial institutions representation, and venture capital financing. He received his B.A., cum laude, from Pomona College in 1977 and his J.D. from The University of Texas School of Law in 1980.

John Strom focuses on sales, marketing and regulatory issues for portfolio companies and seeks new investment areas based on industry trends and deregulation. Prior to the formation of Haddington, Mr. Strom served as President of TPC Corporation, which he co‑founded in 1984. While at TPC, Mr. Strom was initially responsible for building TPC’s natural gas marketing activities, which grew from zero in 1984 to over 500 million cubic feet per day at the time of PacifiCorp’s purchase in 1997. He also started the company’s gas gathering and gas storage businesses. While at TPC, he focused on a broad range of areas including sales, marketing, new project development, and commercial strategy. Prior to founding TPC, Mr. Strom served in increasing levels of responsibility in industrial sales, marketing and business development with Union Carbide Corporation (1975-1982), J.P.J. Industries, Inc. of Kingwood, Texas (1982-1983), and Fish Engineering and Construction, Inc., Houston, Texas (1983-1984). During this time, Mr. Strom was responsible for marketing and project management services in the cogeneration, natural gas treating, and processing, and enhanced oil recovery industries. While at Union Carbide, he was responsible for petrochemical sales in the Chemical and Plastics Division. Mr. Strom graduated, cum laude, with a BS in Finance from the University of Illinois in 1975.

James Lam joined Haddington in July 2001. Mr. Lam is focused on Macro-Industry analysis, investment origination, investment due diligence, portfolio company oversight, company and project level financings, and investment monetizations. Currently, Mr. Lam serves on the Board of Managers of Magnum Energy. Prior to Haddington, Mr. Lam worked in investment banking in the natural gas research groups of Merrill Lynch and Jefferies & Co. where he was responsible for maintaining comprehensive research coverage on the energy merchant conglomerates, integrated natural gas companies, natural gas local distribution companies, natural gas gatherers and processors, pipeline MLPs and power and gas utilities. Mr. Lam received a BBA in finance from the University of Houston.

Sam Pyne joined Haddington in January 2007. His responsibilities include evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities, macro level industry analysis, and ongoing portfolio company initiatives. He supports all aspects of the portfolio companies, ranging from industry analysis and technical due diligence to support of equity and debt financings and the ultimate exit from the investment. Mr. Pyne serves on the Board of Managers at Eureka, Endicott, and Apex CAES. Prior to joining Haddington, Mr. Pyne worked as an equity analyst at Howard Weil, Inc. where he performed in-depth industry and company analysis across the midstream, MLP, and power sectors. Prior to Howard Weil, he worked in several engineering and operational roles. From 1996 until 1999, Mr. Pyne worked as a process engineer at a Lyondell petrochemical facility. In 1999, he co-founded an Internet technology company and successfully sold the company in mid-2000. In 2001, Mr. Pyne helped found another ongoing venture funded startup where he worked until 2003. He is a Summa Cum Laude graduate from Tufts University in 1996 with a BA in Quantitative Economics and a BS in Chemical Engineering. In 2005, Sam earned his MBA from Rice University. Mr. Pyne also sits on the executive committee and serves as treasurer for the Houston Arboretum.

Mr. Harris joined the firm as an Associate in 2021 after earning his MBA and working as a Summer Associate at Haddington Ventures. He supports the firm by sourcing new investment opportunities, managing due diligence efforts, and supporting debt and equity raises for infrastructure project financings.
Prior to Haddington Ventures, Mr. Harris worked at GATE Energy where he supported international E&P clients in the deep water risk management space.

Ms. Coronado joined Haddington in 2016 as an Executive Assistant. She oversees the daily operations of the office, plans meetings and special events while providing high level, tech savvy administrative and analytical support to the team. Prior to Haddington she was the Executive/H.R Assistant at Gulf Winds International were she supported the C-level suite and the Human Resources department. She has B.S. in Business Administration with a concentration in Management from New England College of Business (NECB) and a B.S. in International Business from Politecnico GranColombiano.

Ms. Gale joined Haddington in 2013 and manages the firm's compliance and accounting activities. She is responsible for ensuring the firm’s policies and procedures comply with regulatory and ethical standards and overseeing the accounting department's daily operations. Prior to joining Haddington, Ms. Gale was a Business Manager for Houston Baptist University’s athletic department where she managed the operations of the Athletic business office.
Ms. Gale has a B.S. in Sociology from the University of Houston and an MBA from LeTourneau University. She is currently pursuing her CPA certification.

Mr. Gionis became Chief Accounting Officer of Haddington Ventures in 2019 after serving as CFO at Apex CAES, an HEPIV portfolio Company. Prior to joining Apex, Mr. Gionis was Controller of Keystone Energy Partners, LP, a privately funded wholesale energy trading company and Kinetic Energy, LLC, a wholly owned retail electric subsidiary of Keystone. Mr. Gionis served in these roles from 2005 to 2012 and was responsible for all accounting functions and for regulatory reporting. From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Gionis served as manager of risk control at Reliant Energy, Inc., both at the corporate level and within the wholesale trading group. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Gionis was an auditor and consultant with Arthur Andersen, specializing in energy commodity trading clients.
Mr. Gionis earned a Bachelor of Art degree in Quantitative Economics and Decision Sciences from the University of California, San Diego and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Rice University. Mr. Gionis is an active CPA in the State of Texas.
